Chelsea boss Antonio Conte appears to have finally signed a striker for his side after the club agreed a £70million deal with Real Madrid to sign Alvaro Morata.

The Italian manager has been keen on bolstering his attack, with Diego Costa leaving the cluband when he thought a deal for Romelu Lukaku would settle it, Manchester United came on board and the Belgian international moved to Old Trafford instead.

And save for personal terms to be agreed on and medicals to be done- which are just formalities- Morata will team up with the rest of Chelsea squad in Asia. Morata will replace his Spain national team-mate Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge.

Conte signed Morata when he was at Juventus and he is fully aware of the forward’s capability and prowess, but now he comes with more experience.

The 24-year-old won two Serie A titles with Juventus before moving to Real Madrid, where he won the La Liga and the Champions League twice. He scored 20 goals for the Spanish giants last season.

Morata is an intelligent forward with pace and clinical finishes.

Conte has already signed Antonio Rudiger and Tiemoue Bakayoko and he is likely to stick to his winning formation of 3-4-3, meaning Morata may operate from the middle in the Blues final third.

Here is how the team may look, with Morata now in the fold:
