The Telegraph have reported that the Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata has told pals that he expects to move to Stamford Bridge next summer, and that he is a big fan of Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte.
The report adds that the Real frontman is the preferred choice of the Blues boss to replace Diego Costa, who appears set to make a big-money move to China.
Face of Football’s take
Morata was a subject of a transfer battle between Chelsea and Arsenal last summer but the Spaniard chose to stay at Real Madrid and prove his worth to Zinedine Zidane.
However, Morata’s plans of winning over Zidane has drastically failed and now he is looking for a way out of the club.
The timing of it all is perfect for both Morata and Chelsea as both need one another in the summer with Costa’s Chinese change of heart.
