Chelsea are in pole position to sign Spanish International striker Alvaro Morata ahead of Arsenal and Manchester United, according to reports from The Express.

It has been confirmed that Morata is a priority target for both Arsenal and Manchester United as well, however, they are keen to look for alternative options with Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Edinson Cavani linked with a Premier League switch.

It has given Chelsea a heads up in signing Morata as The Blues are ready to table a £39million bid later this week. Morata started for Spain last night and looked impressive in a 1-0 win over Czech Republic.

Seeing how Morata ran the line and always pushed the Czech’s back line, many Chelsea fans are seeing the 23-year old as the ideal summer signing for Antonio Conte.

Italy’s Gazzetta dello Sports have also ran a story saying Antonio Conte’s desires to sign Morata this summer and has pushed Chelsea officials to submit a £39million bid for the talented striker.

Chances of Morata signing for Chelsea – 3/5

Seeing how Italy outfoxed Belgium in the Euro 2016 clash last night, it seems pretty obvious that Conte will go with a 3-5-2 formation with two world class strikers leading the line.

Diego Costa may or may not remain at Stamford Bridge, but that will not dictate Chelsea’s plans of bringing in a new striker this summer. With Morata certain to quit Juventus this summer he is keen to make a Premier League switch.

According to player’s agent, he fancies a move to only Chelsea and Manchester United and has ruled out Arsenal as his next possible destination.

Conte can build his team around Morata and his 3-5-2 formation which could see a new and exciting time at Stamford Bridge next season. As for now, Morata to Chelsea seems certain to be completed inc coming weeks.
