Chelsea have decided to press ahead for Gareth Bale’s signature this month following Rafa Benitez’s departure at Real Madrid.
According to Marca, Zinedine Zidane has made Eden Hazard his priority signing, for which Los Blancos are willing to pay up to £90million, subsequently opening the way for Chelsea to sign Gareth Bale.
It is a clear case of players wanting to jump the ship following the recent turn of events at their respective clubs. Bale is dammed about Benitez getting fired as Rafa was keen to play Bale in his natural AKA central role.
As for Hazard, he is not convinced with Chelsea and their future ambitions under Guus Hiddink or any other manager.
The Belgian thinks, he has achieved what he could at Stamford Bridge and does not want to miss out on the opportunity to join Real Madrid.
The move could stretch up to as long in the summer of 2016, however, Bale’s move depends on how Zidane plans to use him in coming weeks.
If he does not get his preferred central role, he will be tempted to quit Santiago Bernabeu in favor of the highest bidder, which currently seems to be the reigning EPL Champions, Chelsea.
