Looks like Cesc Fabregas is no longer a wanted man at Chelsea after reports from OK Dairio have revealed an attempt from The Blues to get rid of their Spaniard playmaker.
Fabregas fell out of the club during Jose Mourinho’s fiasco last season and was never in favor of the Portuguese manager getting the sack. Mourinho was eventually forced out of Stamford Bridge, which led to a meager showing from Cesc in the remaining parts of 2015/16 season
With Antonio Conte tipped to come in, Fabregas is seen as a player who is not fit to work in the high intensity 3-5-2 formation and has become a surplus to requirement.
OK Diario understands that Fabregas was offered to Real Madrid earlier in the week but Los Blancos turned the offer down despite showing interest in the player back in 2006 and 2009.
The 28-year-old may end up looking for a new club this summer as Conte wants a complete overhaul to Chelsea’s midfield including the former Arsenal skipper.
Since arriving in the summer of 2014, Fabregas has made 94 appearance for The Blues scoring eleven goals. Chelsea are keen on signing N’golo Kante and Radja Nainggolan this summer which could keep Fabregas out of the lineup leading to his eventual Stamford Bridge exit.
I wonder if Jose Mourinho would be keen to bring his former signing to Manchester United given the real need of a creative midfield player at Old Trafford at the moment?
