Manchester United fans have still not forgotten how Chelsea pipped their club to sign Pedro in the summer, as it turns out Blues have landed another strike by agreeing a deal to sign Ajax midfielder Juan Familia Castillo.
According to Daily Mail, Chelsea have all but agreed Catillo’s transfer after offering better terms to Ajax’s Under-16 skipper. Manchester United were the first team to show an intent in signing the player, however, Chelsea have made a late move and are now the favorites.
Daily Mail also understand that Guus Hiddink’s presence at Chelsea was the decisive factor in Castillo agreeing a move to Chelsea than Manchester United.
Hiddink was the national coach for Holland last year and it is believed that he had held talks with the player about his future developments. Following on the conversation, Hiddink has ensured Castillo that he will be shaped in to a better player at Stamford Bridge.
Whether or not, this move will fall like Pedro’s (United fans would hope that it would), or he would go on to be one of the brightest talents of the modern game, we shall wait and watch. As for now, Chelsea have pipped United to the signing of Ajax Under-16 skipper Juan Familia Castillo.
