Chelsea are eager to wrap up their transfer business before Antonio Conte takes charge at Stamford Bridge this summer. One major position Blues are looking to strengthen is that of striker.

Diego Costa appears likely to leave the club this summer leaving Conte with limited options as he will most likely be fielding a 3-5-2 system. At present, Alvaro Morata appears likely to be one of those striker with other being Romelu Lukaku.

According to reports from Daily Star, formal contact between Conte and Lukaku’s agent Mino Raiola has already been made and the Italian manager has expressed his desires to bring the Belgian striker back to Stamford Bridge.

A potential £50million fee will be agreed between Chelsea and Everton as Lukaku is clearly seeking a move away from Goodison Park. In a recent interview with GQ Magazine, Lukaku said: “I’m only 23, I still have to improve. But I want to win titles because that’s what we remember at the end of a career.”

With Lukaku tipped to join Chelsea, the other big-name striker keen to join Chelsea this summer is Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata. Like Lukaku, Morata’s camp has been contacted by The Blues and have started the negotiations.

According to Gazzetta dello Sports, Chelsea are willing to pay as much as £40million for Morata, who recently completed a transfer back to Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid activated £25million buy-back clause for the Spaniard abut they do not have any intentions of keeping hold of the player. They are looking to sell Morata to generate funds to pull a transfer for Paul Pogba.

It could all end up playing in Chelsea’s favor as they look certain of completing a stunning double deal for Lukaku and Morata to bolster their chances of a strong showing in the Premier League 2016/17 season.
