Chelsea are increasingly confident of signing Swansea striker Fernando Llorente as talks between the two clubs have progressed well, according to reports from Starsports.
The outlet has claimed that Blues want Llorente to add assurance in their strike force after Antonio Conte’s constant refusal to play Michy Batshuayi.
Diego Costa has fired 13 league goals this season but when he need a rest or is suspended, Blues often struggle to find goals from their top players.
Llorente has scored 6 goals in his last 11 Premier League appearances and has caught Conte’s attention who wants the transfer done before the weekend. Llorente worked with Conte at Juventus and the Spaniard is keen on a reunion.
Swansea seeking replacement
Swansea are looking at Aaron Leya Iseka, brother of Chelsea star Batshuayi, as a potential replacement.
It has also been suggested that Batshuayi could be included in the deal to sweeten Chelsea’s offer for the Spanish striker.
