Chelsea Football club have confirmed Jose Mourinho’s departure from the club. Blues posted a tweet saying that club and the manager have parted ways with mutual consent, take a look:
Following the sacking, Chelsea released a statement which read: “The club wishes to make clear Jose leaves us on good terms and will always remain a much-loved, respected and significant figure at Chelsea.
“His legacy at Stamford Bridge and in England has long been guaranteed and he will always be warmly welcomed back to Stamford Bridge.
“The club’s focus is now on ensuring our talented squad reaches its potential. There will be no further comment until a new appointment is made.”
There are several managers waiting in line to be the new Chelsea manager with Guss Hiddink, Pep Guardiola and Juande Ramos being the prime candidates. According to Gianluca Di Marzio, Hiddink is the leading candidate with Juande Ramos also in close contention.
However, Roman Abramovich is open to the idea of bringing Pep Guardiola at Stamford Bridge next season by offering him a blank cheque. These are certainly testing times for Chelsea as they are 16th in the league and now without their manager.
