After early frustration from the transfer market and reports that Chelsea coach Antonio Conte will depart Stanford Bridge this summer, things have beginning to go well for the club and coach.

Conte signed a new two year contract which was followed by the arrival of key signings like Morata and Bakayoko. Now the Italian gaffer is looking to add to his squad before the end of the transfer window.

The Premier League Champions are heavily linked with a move for Inter Milan’s winger Antonio Candereva, and the agent of the Italian player has not rubbish the link, also suggesting his client could be joining the premier league champions.

Chelsea are looking for a competition for Victor Moses in his wing back position and have been linked with Real Madrid Danilo who have now moved to rival club, Manchester City.

The Blues have now look in the direction of Conte’s country man, Antonio Candreva. The Italian is a winger but will have no problem playing the position.

Candreva was earlier link to a move to Chelsea in the January transfer windows but a deal did not happen.

Now his agent Federico Pastorello reckons that he could move to Chelsea even though his client is currently happy with life at the San Siro:

“Antonio is very calm at the moment and is only thinking about Inter,” Pastorello told Italian outlet FCInter1908. “He’s happy with the arrival of [Luciano] Spalletti as the new coach. I would say it’s 80 per cent that he stays at Inter but Chelsea? You cannot exclude anything at the moment”.

The acquisition of Candereva will help Conte rotate his team better as they compete in more competition than last season.
