Chelsea defender Wallace is on the verge of joining Brazilian side Gremiro in coming days after failing to get regular playing time at Serie A club in Carpi.

Since joining Chelsea back in 2013, Wallas has failed to make any impact for the Blues, but is regarded as one of the brightest youngster to have signed for the club. That is why, he has been spending most of his time out on loans.

His current stint is with Carpi, where he has featured in only 7 games for the Serie A club with only 1 start. That is why, Chelsea have decided to cut ties with his current loan spell and send him to Gremiro.

The 21-year old is eyeing a return to his home Brazil, where he is aiming to regain playing time and prove his worth to Chelsea.

The deal is all but confirmed after Gremiro’s President Rui Costa announced the deal himself.

Costa said“We can announce the Wallace deal on Wednesday.”

Wallace is keen to establish himself as one of the regular full-back options for Chelsea in coming seasons. He is equally adapt at playing as right-back or the left-back.

Stamford Bridge club are hoping Wallace can turn in to a decent player after his loan spell with Gremiro, which ends in May 2016.
