Chelsea defender Michael Hector is on the verge of completing a loan move to Hull City, according to reports.

The 25-year-old is currently undergoing medicals at the Championship club and could finalise a season-long loan move to the Tigers today barring any hitch.

He joins another Chelsea loanee Ola Aina at the club and the loan move represents the 14th loan of his career so far.

New Hull manager Leonid Slutsky is keen on rebuilding who got relegated from the Premier League last season and has taken advantage of his close relationship with Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich to secure the loan deals.

The centre-back was signed by former Blues boss Jose Mourinho from Reading in the summer of 2015 but was loan back to the club and he is yet to make any appearance for the Premier League champions.

He spent last season on loan at German club Eintracht Frankfurt, making 27 appearances for them and helped them reach the German Cup final.

The Jamaica international has also had loan spells in Republic of Ireland and Scotland as well as five non-league clubs.

He could become the 23rd player to have left Stamford Bridge either on loan or permanently
