Chelsea need to be prepare themselves for a tough Champions League round of 16 clash as they were drawn against the French Champions PSG. It could also be a case of revenge for Blues as PSG were the side which knocked them out of the competition last season at the quarter final stage.
With PSG taking on Chelsea, there will be a chance for David Luiz to return to Stamford Bridge where he was the hero last season scoring the important goal for PSG. Jose Mourinho’s side have suffered rather indifferent start to the season than last time around and that is why PSG would fancy their chances against the Blues.
In a way, Mourinho’s fate as the Chelsea boss will depend on how well or poorly he performs in the Champions League knock out stage. He could have hoped for a better draw but he has got PSG and he will have to find a way to negate the danger French Champions can pose.
We are not doubting the capabilities of Chelsea as a team but playing an in-form PSG side with the kind of form they are in, it might be a bit too much to do for Chelsea. Meanwhile, Chelsea’s city rivals Arsenal were drawn against Barcelona.
