Chelsea turn down Atletico’s €60m offer and issue second warning over Costa’s public pursuit

Chelsea are ready to meet fire with fire as they look determined to keep hold of Diego Costa despite Atletico Madrid’s public pursuit of the striker.

According to reports from Telegraph, Blues have officially rejected a €60m bid from the Spanish side who are keen to re-sign the 27-year-old striker this summer.

Not only that, Chelsea are ready to issue a second warning to Atletico for taking Costa’s pursuit to the public and revealing minute details of their transfer plans.

This ever going transfer saga blew out of proportion earlier this week when Atletcio’s Director Enrique Cerezo commented in the Spanish media that Costa’s deal is “very close” to being completed.

Chelsea officials were left astonished at the claim when they have constantly denied selling their striker and have even turned down a stunning €60m offer from the Los Rojiblancos.

According to Telegraph, Chelsea have even asked Atletico to not come back with any other offer for Costa as it would be met with firm rejection.
