What gives Cesc Fabregas the right to speak like this?

In last 24 hours, for no apparent reason Cesc Fabregas decided to come out and say that all Chelsea players must perform as per the salary they are getting.

In all fairness, Fabregas should be the very last person to be making these claims, as he has been the worse Chelsea player so far this season. That is why his comments baffles me to say the least.

Speaking in a Facebook interview, Fabregas said“We all have to take responsibility. If you are a big player and you are paid like a big player, you must play like a big player and behave like a big player.

“I am not saying you can’t have a bad season and bad games. We all have – big players and small players. But the attitude has to always be spot on.

“We must always be at the top of our games, and the behaviour has to be better than what we are seeing right now from every single Chelsea player.”

If the former Arsenal man wants to put these words to action then he first should look to win back his place in Chelsea’s starting XI, which has come under serious threat lately. Then he should try and influence the game for his side.

Until he does these things correctly, his comments make no sense and look like a desperate attempt to get back on the good side of his manager – Jose Mourinho.
