The transfer window is around the corner once again and lot of rumours is banded around Celtic players. One name that has been popping around in recent time is Moussa Dembele. The 21-year-old French attacker is attracting lot of interest from top clubs in England. The latest to be linked with him is Manchester United.
With 32 goals in 48 games last season, Dembele is one player you can’t overlook. The 21-year-old was initially linked with West Ham, Arsenal and Chelsea, among others during the summer. As a deal didn’t happen then, his decision to stay at Celtic Park for this season has even brought bigger attention towards him.
A report from the Sun in France has it that the France U-21 international has already begun talks with United with a view to moving to Old Trafford next summer. If the reports linking him to United are concrete, Celtic will be unable to keep hold of their star man.
Brendan Rodgers will have to start planning life without him. Joining from Fulham last year, Dembele has wowed so many clubs and he’s destined for a bigger club in England or France. At 21, he is primed to boom in Europe. His goal against PSG in the Champions League is just one of the attribute he brings to a team- goal scoring.
Manchester will be getting a player that will be able to serve them for at least a decade and also bring quality to their squad. Playing under a coach like Jose Mourinho will also help him develop to a top player. However, it will be unlikely the deal happen in January and Dembele chance of making the France team to Russia 2018 will be slim if he stays at Celtic. The decision lies with him to push for a move or stay at Celtic till end of the season.
