Celtic vs Dundee Preview: Predicted Lineup, Tactical Setup and Prediction

Celtic take on sixth placed Dundee United later tonight in a much-awaited Scottish Premier League tie. A win for Celtic would take them 9 points clear of Aberdeen, who are second in the league.

Celtic will be coming on the back of a disappointing 1-1 draw against Hamilton, and will look to better that result at home against Dundee. Although, the tie will nit be a foregone conclusion given Dundee’s recent form.

Dundee are unbeaten in their last 6 games, and will not surrender to Celtic’s top place in the league. Both sides have key players missing due to injuries, which might make the game a tight affair.

Celtic vs Dundee Predicted lineups

Celtic predicted XI: Gordon; Lustig, Boyata, Sviatchenko, Tierney; Bitton, Brown; McGregor, Rogic, Armstrong; Griffiths

Dundee predicted XI: Bain; McGinn, Gadzhalov, Etxabeguren, Holt; Ross, McGowan; Stewart, Harkins, Loy; Hemmings

Celtic vs Dundee Tactical Setup

Dedryck Boyata’s return will keep Celtic’s defense in good hands while Griffiths will expected to score goals for the home side. Rogic will most likely operate in the number 10 role with McGregor and Armstrong playing from the wings.

Dundee will miss the former Celtic defender Darren O’Dea for this game, and will have to rely on the brilliance of Hemmings to come up with crucial goals. Dundee would go with a 4-2-3-1 formation to counter Celtic’s fluid pass-and-move play.

Celtic vs Dundee Prediction – Celtic may have played a draw in their last game, but winning this wont be a problem for The Hoops. Predicted Scoreline – Celtic 2 Dundee 0.
