Celtic are yet to secure any deal in the transfer market this summer, but when they do, Jonathan Bamba should be their priority target.

Bamba is available on a free transfer with his Saint Etienne contract running down, and according to the Sun, he is a transfer interest for West Ham, Huddersfield and Crystal Palace.

Celtic can offer Bamba two things those clubs cannot, firstly the opportunity to play Champions League football.

Secondly, and just as important, will be the chance to play alongside Moussa Dembele.

The two players have been an integral part of France’s Under-21 side, and they combined this week as Bamba assisted Dembele to score against Italy.

Moving for Bamba would be a statement of intent of Celtic’s side and could be enough to convince Dembele to remain with the Scottish club.

He is just 22-years-old, and moving to Celtic could be the right direction his career needs, allowing him to play continental football while being instilled with a winner’s mentality.

A future France international, he has great potential in the transfer market just like Dembele if Celtic can sign him.

He netted seven and provided eight assists in Ligue 1, and the fact he is a free agent at the moment seems like a dream, but it’s the reality, and Celtic should try their best to sign him this summer.
