Hibernian midfielder John McGinn has been linked with a switch to Celtic this summer transfer window, with The Glasgow Evening Times suggesting that the Scottish giants are interested in the Scotland international midfielder.
Neil Lennon’s Hibs are reportedly requesting for £4 million for the 23-year-old, who is undoubtedly one of the best midfielders in the Scottish Premiership.
Hibs were in action on Thursday, as Lennon’s men challenged Ruvanik in the second leg of their Europa League first qualifying round tie.
The Scottish club emerged victorious in the game defeating Ruvanik 6-4 to progress 12-5 on aggregate and reported Celtic target McGinn featured in the match.
As a result, as reported by BBC Sport, the 23-year-old former St. Mirren star will not be eligible for Celtic’s Champions League qualifiers should he join Brendan Rodgers team in the summer transfer window.
Celtic fans have taken to social media site Twitter to give their reaction to McGinn’s performance and current situation, while Hibernian manager Lennon has commented on his future.
Lennon told The Daily Record regarding McGinn: “He looked fit and his passing was good and showed he’s very much a Hibs player.
“That may change in the next week with a club or any other club that may come in for him. We have our valuation of the player, we said we would play him tonight and we played him.”
So Lennon starts John McGinn tonight? Is Lennon under orders from above or is he just being an arse, Celtic should bin this deal & get him for nothing in January, after all business is business,, lets be ruthless

John McGinn won’t sign for Celtic as a champions league player, good squad player at best for me. Could be the next Brown will need to wait and see. Need quality for the CL, especially in defence.
