Reports down south claim Celtic have been keeping tabs on Craig Dawson’s contract situation following the defender’s submission of a transfer request at the start of July.
The 28-year-old can be deployed to the right-back position as well as the centre-back and is up for a bigger challenge after WBA suffered relegation at the end of the previous season.
Craig has spent 8 years at the Hawthorns but has now taken his training away from the first team due to his transfer request.
Celtic are actively probing the transfer market for a new defender and one who can cover both centre and right back would be coveted above others.
The Englishman is still contracted for another two years and would command a transfer fee.
It’s thought that Leicester City is also interested in the defender.
