Arsenal star Santi Cazorla could be on his way out of the club after Juventus have started talks to sign the crafty playmaker next summer.
According to reports from Calciomercato, Cazorla is yet to be offered a new contract by the Gunners which could see the midfielder join a new club on a free transfer next summer.
As per the reports, Cazorla wants to extend his stay at Emirates but Arsenal could be looking for a younger option. Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Hector Bellerin are other players who are yet to sign contract extensions with the club.
Despite his willingness to stay at Arsenal, Cazorla is planning for the worst and has been in talks with other clubs over a possible summer transfer.
At present, Juventus are the favorites to sign Cazorla and we could see the player sign a pre-contract with the Serie A Champions in January.
Are Arsenal preparing themselves for disaster?
While it may feel like Cazorla’s exit would trigger a series of exits at Arsenal but Gunners may already have already found an ideal replacement for the Spaniard.
Wolfsburg star Julian Draxler is certain to leave Bundesliga next summer and Arsenal are one of the favorites to sign the German international for a reported fee of €40million.
Arsene Wenger’s time at Arsenal may be coming to an end which has surely brought a new dimension to the way Gunners approach a transfer market which could be further highlighted with Cazorla’s exit followed by Draxler’s arrival.
