Sam Allardyce is still hopeful of signing Arsenal right-back Carl Jenkinson as part of his plan to save Crystal Palace from getting relegated this season.
A move for Jenkinson looked to have been abandoned earlier this month.
Arsenal couldn’t agree a few with the south Londoners for the right-back and the club moved on to other targets.
But The Telegraph say a £7m fee has now been green lit for Jenkinson to head to Selhurst Park.
And Allardyce is still hopeful of agreeing personal terms and tempting the player to give up a top four battle for a relegation scrap.
Jenkinson is well down the pecking order at Arsenal with Hector Bellerin the club’s No.1 right-back and central defender Gabriel next in line as cover.
Face of Football’s take
This transfer will come as a huge sigh of relief for both Jenkinson and Crystal Palace as the player can do with some game time and Palace are in desperate need of a quality right back.
