The Croatian International has been a key player for Inter during Roberto Mancini’s reign at San Siro, however, Gunners are confident of luring him away with a £20million bid.
Inter have not changed their stance on a £25m (€30m) asking fee and are waiting for Arsenal to improve their offer. Gazzetta dello Sports are convinced of Arsene Wenger’s approach for the player and field him alongside Granit Xhaka in midfield next season.
Chances of Brozovic signing for Arsenal – 1.5/5
Apart from Xhaka’s arrival, Arsenal already have Jack Wilshere, Santi Cazorla, Aaron Ramsey, Mohamed Elneny and Francis Coquelin to bolster their midfield.
Given these number of options for Wenger, I cannot see Arsenal making a concrete move for Brozovic unless Gunners are planning to sell one of their midfield stars.
Add to that, Wenger is more focused on bringing a potent striker to Emirates this summer rather than strengthening his midfield which already looks formidable.
Despite the positive vibes from Italian media, I would suggest Arsenal fans to not get their hopes too high of seeing Marcelo Brozovic wearing their red and white jersey next season.
