Celtic look set to complete their second official summer signing of this summer with John coming in for a fee of £3million.
Brendan Rodgers has been a big fan of the player for quite a while but has waited until this summer to act upon his interest in the midfield ace.
Hibernian has rejected two bids from Celtic for the Scottish international and told Celtic they would have to submit an improved bid if they are keen to land the player.
Since then, the clubs have been locked in talks and discussed throwing in Scott Allan as part of the deal.
It’s still uncertain at this point if Allan will specifically be used to clinch the McGinn deal or to make things less complicated, Hibs buy him from the club in a separate transaction.
What we are quite certain of is that both players are patiently waiting for the clubs to come to an agreement.
John McGinn is desperate to join the Bhoys and knows it could only be days away.
