Branislav Ivanovic will not be a Chelsea player come the end of January transfer window later tonight, according to reports from Daily Star.
The report confirms that Ivanovic has agreed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Russian side Zenit St. Petersburg after Chelsea give him green light to make the move.
Ivanovic had joined Chelsea from Locomotive Moscow back in 2008 and since has gone on to win every major honor with the club.
However, with Antonio Conte’s high octane football demands, Ivanovic has found himself struggling for first team action and has been seeking a new club for some time now.
Having been linked with the likes of West Ham and certain Chinese clubs, Ivanovic is edging closer to a move back to Russian Super League.
