Arsenal have not given up on signing Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang and are preparing a mega transfer bid for the Borussia Dortmund forward, according to reports from talksports.
Gunners are currently using Alexis Sanchez as their makeshift striker option as Olivier Giroud and Lucas Perez are yet to find back of the net consistently.
According to talksports, Arsenal have prepared a club record £52million bid for the Gabon international, who is also a target for Real Madrid and Manchester City.
Although Aubameyang has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid, Arsenal are hopeful of luring the 27-year-old to a Premier League move in January or next summer.
Aubameyang has already scored 19 goals in 20 appearances so far this season and is currently the top scorer in Bundesliga. Arsenal are also tracking Wolfsburg’s Julian Draxler who has been asked to find a new club in January.
Chances of Aubameyang signing for Arsenal – 1/5
Regardless of the money Arsenal offer to Dortmund, a January move is out of the question and as the summer transfer, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Man United are currently leading Arsenal in terms of paying the hefty transfer fee and affording Aubameyang’s salary.
