Chelsea striker Diego Costa should end any hopes of returning to Atletico Madrid after the club president admitted that there is no way Costa would return to Vicente Calderon. Chelsea fans have been growing concerned about their striker’s future when he recently admitted how he would be open to the idea of returning to La Liga if any opportunity come by.
Responding to those claims Atletico president Enrique Cerezo said that Costa is not at all welcomed back to Madrid. Speaking with Marca Cereo said: “He can slam that door shut again – it’s mighty cold in here.”
Costa’s frustrations have been rising in recent weeks after he has been restricted as a substituted in recent games. It led to a questionable act from the striker when he threw a bib at Jose Mourinho in the game against Tottenham.
If those acts were an attempt to seek exit from Stamford Bridge, he might have to try something else as Atletico Madrid have shown no interest in bringing him back to La Liga.
Chelsea face Leicester in their next Premier League game in 24 hours’ time. Blues have shown a bit of resurgence in recent games and they will look to keep moving higher up the table if they want to finish in top half of the Premier League table.
