Chelsea star on his way to Everton after an £8million bid was accepted

It seems like Asmir Begovic’s Chelsea horrors are about to come to an end as Everton are ready to make a £8million move for the Bosnian goalkeeper.

According to The Sun, Roberto Martinez sees Begovic as the ideal man to replace Tim Howard, who is set to join MLS side Colorado Rapids at the end of current season.

Begovic has only played one game under the new manager Guus Hiddink, and given the form Thibaut Courtois is in, it is unlikely he will get any game time at Stamford Bridge.

As for Begovic, he is no longer interested in playing second fiddle to Courtois and wants out of Chelsea immediately.

According to The Sun, Chelsea have will accept the £8million bid for their second choice goal keeper and look to re-build their squad for next season.

Chelsea in hunt for a new manager

Chelsea themselves have a lot to plan next season as they need to find a new manager after sacking Jose Mourinho earlier in the season. Guus Hiddink is the current man in charge, but he is not interested in taking over the job full time.

Diego Simeone is seen as the number one choice to become next Stamford Bridge boss. If that move happens, it will be all the more reason for Begovic to quit Chelsea.

Simeone and Courtois have worked together at Atletico, and it is next to impossible for the former Stoke keeper to get ahead of the Belgian to be Chelsea’s number one keeper next season.
