It’s finally happening today folks! Arsenal are all set to sign their first outfield player of the season later today when Mohamed El-Nenny will join the Gunners after agreeing four-and-a-half year contract.
The Egyptian will sign from FC Basel, and could even be part of Arsenal’s FA Cup squad for the third round clash against Sunderland later this weekend.
He has not played any competitive football since 10th December, so he will be given enough time to get himself back to form and fitness.
El-Nenny is called as the Egyptian Busquets and someone, whom Arsenal need to bring in to the squad following the injuries to Francis Coquelin and Santi Cazorla.
According to Daily Star, El-Nenny will be signed for a fee for £5.2milion. His transfer was cheekily revealed by Olivier Giroud when he said: “I know that maybe we sign a player, an Egyptian one…”
Do we need anything more to go on this story, we don’t think so. As we earlier said, the move is happening today and he will be an Arsenal player by the end of this night.
