Despite getting hammered for most part of the season, Arsene Wenger has maintained his proud record of finishing ahead of Tottenham in every Premier League season. Spurs pushed their local rivals right till the end but capitulated on last day of the season following a 5-1 defeat against Newcastle.
As for Arsenal, they got the job done with a comfortable 4-0 win over a relegated Aston Villa side. Olivier Giroud managed to register a hat-trick as he led his team to their best ever league finish in over 11 years.

Best part about the result tonight was the return for Santi Cazorla and Jack Wilshere in the lineup. Gunners got their job done and did enough to sneak ahead of Tottenham. That finish may lead to Arsene Wenger’s elongated stay, wonder how Arsenal fans would feel about that.

Man of the Match: Olivier Giroud is not always the go-to man for Arsenal, but he was on the spot tonight with a superbly finished hat-trick. Giroud ended the season with 16 league goals and ended the season on a high and perhaps signaled what is in store for Arsenal fans next season.
