Despite all his insane abilities on the ball, Antonio Candreva is hardly ever linked with any Premier League clubs, until now. According to reports from Ill Tempo, the 29-year old is tipped to join Antonio Conte at Stamford Bridge next season.
According to reports, Conte is a huge admirer of Candreva and has asked the Chelsea officials to get this deal done. Italian International is largely unsettled at Lazio right now and is seeking a way out of the club.
According to Guardian, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan are heavily linked with a move for the crafty winger but Conte wants Chelsea to make a late swoop.
Given his age, Candreva will be available for anything more than £20million, as stated by the Lazio owner himself.
Conte is yet to figure out who will be his right-sided attacker next season at Chelsea. Will it be Willian or Juan Cuadrado or now the recently linked Antonio Candreva?
Chances of Candreva joining Chelsea – 2/5
First of all, I don’t think Ill Tempo can be relied that much in terms of credibility of a transfer story. Secondly, Conte should know that he cannot rely on a 29-year old attacker when he has the option if picking Willian and Juan Cuadrado ahead of him.
Conte is currently in charge of the Italy’s national squad at the Euros so it is hard to figure out why a lot of Italian players are linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, however, Chelsea cannot go on signing every one of them.
To be fair, Blues can do much better than Candreva at the moment and with his age, I doubt he will be able to fit in to Premier League’s demands.
For me, its a no go and Chelsea fans should not get excited on this one.
