Talking about deals being done before the deadline, Manchester United are prepared to offer their defender Luke Shaw a 12-month contract extension, according to report.

The Reds Left back was widely expected to leave Old Trafford after receiving several tongue-lashing insults from Coach Jose Mourinho over his lack of fitness or work in training and was previously linked with a move away from the club. Since the Red Devils Manager Mourinho took over last summer, Shaw appears to have been marking time of the sidelines of the Reds, he had poor season last term and getting acquainted with injury for a long time.

Reports claims the 22-year-old left back who joined the red devils from Southampton in the summer of 2014, United are willing offer him a contract extension after impressing on his return from injury.

“I feel that this is my season to prove myself and I’m feeling in good shape, Shaw said

“I want to show everyone that I believe in myself and show the manager that.

“I’m working hard and I’ve been doing rehab each day. It’s been coming along really good.

“I’ve been running on a treadmill and doing my leg weights and making sure my foot is strong.

“I’ve also been doing a lot of cardiovascular work to keep me in good shape. I’m feeling good.

“The sooner I’m back the better and hopefully it is soon because I want to get out there playing.

“I’m in a positive frame of mind and don’t want talk too much about the past, but I do think that I’ve been unlucky with injuries.

“My leg and now this. It was unlucky. I want to put them in the past.”

Shaw has played twice for the B team of Manchester United and he claims that he will fight for his place in Mourinho’s team.
