According to reports, Hull City defender Andrew Robertson appears to be moving closer to signing for Liverpool this summer.

The left-back position of Liverpool has been devoid of natural player to fill the space and Jurgen Klopp had to deploy James Milner, a midfielder, to manage the position last season.

The Liverpool boss has not relented in his efforts to sign a left-back and according to reports the Red Devils are on the verge of bringing one to Anfield this summer.

The Merseysiders were linked with Hull City full-back Andrew Robertson some weeks back, with the Daily Mail reporting that a deal to the tune of £8 million is on the cards.

The latest news now, according to BBC Radio presenter David Burns, say the Scottish player has left Hull’s training camp in Portugal, apparently to finalise his move to Liverpool.

Robertson is no doubt a gifted left-back and can also play on the left side of the midfield. But it is not certain if he will be able to displace Milner in that position.

Robertson joined Hull City in 2014 from Dundee United for £3 million. He scored a goal in 39 appearances for the Tigers last season.
