Chelsea legend Pat Nevin said he will be “completely astounded” if Alexis Sanchez decides to commit his future to Arsenal.
The Chilean was pictured looking dejected and separate from the rest of his teammates as the Gunners were battered 5-1 by Bayern Munich on Wednesday night.
Speaking on BBC’s Radio 5 Live , following the Gunners’ Round of 16 defeat, Nevin said: “I think, probably the most important question in Arsenal fans’ heads at the moment, is will Sanchez stay?
“To be fair, I would be completely astounded, the way it looks at the moment, his body language and the difficulties they are having.”
Following the statement, few Chelsea fans have actually started to believe that Alexis will indeed jump the ship and sign for Chelsea next season.
On the face of it, Chelsea could be a great option for Alexis, under Antonio Conte the Blues will likely make an impact on the Champions League and the Chilean wouldn’t even have to move house.
