Arsenal star demands Double Salary or he Quits Next Season: Chelsea, Man United and Liverpool linked

Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlin is tired of being underused by Arsene Wenger, and is negotiating a now-or-never deal with the club.

According to reports from Football Insider, Chamberlin’s representatives have asked the club to double his salary or he will leave Emirates next season.

Chamberlin, 22 was bought by Wenger back in 2011 for a whopping fee of £12million. Since then, the talented player has only completed 90 minutes for Arsenal on 10 separate occasions.

These numbers do not make a good reading for Chamberlin, who is rated as one of the finest young English footballers at present.

Chamberlin wants double salary at Arsenal

His current contract expires in 2018, and the former Southampton man is on £52,000-a-week deal. According to Star, the player wants his salary to be increased to £100k-per-week, or he is willing to look for a different club.

Chamberlin’s situation is helped with the fact that Chelsea, Manchester United and Liverpool have kept a close eye on his developments at Arsenal.

Given his obvious talents, and unhappiness at the club, either of them will be willing to offer the required sum to snatch Chamberlin away from Arsenal.

Sources close to Wenger believe that the French manager holds Ox in high regards and sees him as the future of Arsenal football club. Injuries and better players have not allowed him to play enough, but he does not want to see Chamberlin leave anytime soon.

According to sources, Wenger is willing to put up a fight with Arsenal board to agree to Chamberlin’s wage demands and pursue him to extend his Arsenal career.
