Tom Rogic

Celtic midfielder, Tom Rogic is considering his future at Celtic Park and might be on his way out at the end of the season. This is coming after the Australian failed to put pen to paper for a new contract at the club. He is reluctant to sign a new deal after he has had a reduced playing time in recent time, according to report from Football Insider.

Reports suggest that he is not willing to sign a new contract due to the arrival of Charly Musonda who has taken his place in the first team. A top source Australian media, The World Game, suggest he is not ready to sign the new deal as the terms of agreement seems not to favour him.

Coupled with Musonda’s arrival, the 25-year-old is ready to end his Celtic career soon.

Charly Musonda joined from Chelsea on loan for 18 months and it seems he will be starting ahead of Rogic. Going into a summer of World Cup, Rogic will fancy his chances of getting a decent offer if he put up a good outing with Australia at Russia later this summer.

With him having 18 months left on his contract, he might be putting the Hoops in a condition whereby they will have to cash in on him this summer if he refuse to sign a new contract.

Rogic lingering injury crisis has not helped his situation which was a reason Celtic had to get a player similar in Musonda. With four goals in 29 games, the last coming in September last year shows that he is not the player Celtic can trust on a long term.

Brendan Rodgers is also willing only to make him a squad player and is not ready to guaranty him a regular playing time. With this, Celtic could allow him for a fee in the region of Β£3.4m.

He will be a good addition for clubs in England especially in the championships fighting for a place in the premier league the coming season.
