At the age of just 26, it is fair to say that Ciftci can still make a name for himself somewhere else, it’s just unlikely that he would achieve any success in Scotland after his failure at Celtic. The Striker joined Celtic at age 21 after he bagged 33 goals and 20 assists in just 82 appearances for the Tangerines. Since then, however, he has suffered a decline ever since and he has failed to live up to expectation at Celtic or any of his five loan spells.
While things may not look bright for the forward, he will be confident that he regains the form he found at Dundee United where he managed to impress Ronny Deila that he could be a good player for the Scottish champions. Ciftci has found difficulty breaking into Brendan Rodgers’s first team since he’s has been at the club with the in-form Leigh Griffiths and Moussa Dembele both ahead of the ex-Tannadice striker in the pecking order.
All the best Nadir, apt name
